Getting Ready for Your Site!

Although your design is a very important part of getting your website done, there are two elements that are required in order to have a site, and rank above the design itself, these are Your Domain & Hosting.

Hosting

Even more important than your domain and your layout, is your Hosting. Why is that? That’s because this is going to determine people being able to view your site. Your hosting is sort of like your online hard drive, in fact that’s exactly what it is: Your hosting is your online storage for your site, this is where your images and files will go so that people can view them!

Five tips to getting your project done faster!

More times than not when you decide to contact a designer you need your project sooner than later, and sometimes it takes longer than you’d ever expect. Here are a few ways you can speed up your project, so that it’s done sometime before you turn 100!

  1. Know your online market!
If you’re a fashion designer, you know your market by going to runway shows, by visiting competitor stores, and you should do the same when it comes to your website! No matter who you are or what your business is, ten to one, someone has done it before, so! Look it up! Look up sites within your market, your competitors, and see what they’re doing - see what their sites look like, and the elements they’re using. Being aware of the other sites in your market will give you an idea of what your site should look like, what it shouldn’t, and what is working for your target consumers. Your designer will probably do this if they aren’t already aware of it, however if you’ve got specific things you want and like that you’re able to tell your designer it’ll speed up the process a little. Remember! Just because something works, doesn’t mean you have to carbon copy it! Not to mention it’s usually illegal and always morally wrong.

Hello, I'm Awesome is the portfolio of twenty-two year old Anna Moore, who currently resides in Central Florida.

I’m a young-at-heart chick who has an insane love for colors and whitespace. I think designs should be simple, straight to the point, and not stuffy. Stuffy is Bad (Although I guess that does depend on who you are!). Websites do not have to be stuffy, boring and insanely priced to be professional! I create affordable, stylish, standards compliant designs. I love using xhtml/css, Wordpress, & really awesome graphics.
